Clean Rusty Cast Iron Tools and Saw Blades / Bits (EASY!)

Imagine waking up and going to your workshop and seeing your beautiful cast iron table saw surface completely covered in rust that wasn’t there the day before.  My reaction has been 100% accurately captured in the thumbnail for this video.  My workshop is not climate controlled  and huge swings in the temperature day over day caused the cast iron to sweat and hold onto condensation and literally rusted overnight.  Luckily with just a few easy steps we are able to clean cast iron tools using a few commonly available household items including some WD40, 3M scotchbrite pads, mineral spirits, and a whole lot of paper towels

In this video I review the easy steps taken to clean cast iron tools by removing the rust and protecting it from happening again.  While I was in the cleaning mood, I added a second cleaning tip on removing that pesky burnt on resin on my saw blades and router bits using an affordable cleaning kit I found on Amazon (links provided below).
