Description
A router table is a must have tool in most workshops as it opens up the opportunities for new projects (example, flush trimming templates) and also makes other jobs much simpler than using other methods (like sanding round-overs). If you don’t have room or want a big freestanding router table with a lift, this portable compact router table is a fantastic option which uses a smaller trim router attached to a baseplate which is then inset into the table top. The table itself is then clamped to any workbench and stored away when not in use.
This entire project uses 1/5th of a sheet of 3/4″ plywood, 18″ of t-track, any router baseplate which is NOT a circle (I have linked to the baseplate used in the plans), t-track bolts and knobs, wood glue, brad nails, and screws. These router table plans use 3D model images as well as images taken during the build process to simplify the build. In addition to these router table plans, I have posted a full build video as well as all of the materials and tools I used to build my table in this blog post.
When ordering these plans I recommend creating an account at checkout on the website so you will always have access to the download link if you ever have to redownload the file.
Please share your photos of your project on Instagram and tag @dellsdiy so I can see your creations. As always, thank you so much for your support and I can’t wait to see your completed projects!
