Build a DIY Adjustable Desktop Organizer
Nobody has ever said that they are TOO organized and that’s why I decided to build this desktop organizer because I needed to declutter my desk and organize all of my audio/video equipment. This adjustable shelf can be expanded and collapsed into a footprint that fits both your available space and what you need organzied. The different levels provide multiple different storage options allowing books and magazines to fit into the left side and the right side acting as a bookend, and other items to be placed inside, under, and on top of the different shelfs.
Perfect for Beginner Woodworkers
I consider this a beginner project because the tools required are limited. All you need is a table saw or circular saw with a straight edge, a miter saw or a sled/miter gauge for your table saw, and a pocket hole jig. It helps to have a pin nailer or brad nailer but isn’t required.

This project uses less than a quarter of a sheet of 1/2″ plywood, 1/2″ edge banding (optional but recommended), glue, and screws…that’s pretty much it!
